Guest Service Volunteers are the first smiles that families see as they walk through the door of RMH. These volunteers provide comfort and care as families arrive to check in, and when they return from long days at the hospital. Tasks include answering and directing phone calls, helping families get checked in and out, taking kids to the Rachel Kendall Toy Room, and supporting family services staff. Volunteers are 18 or older and commit to a weekly shift for a minimum of 6 months.

Ronald McDonald House offers evening activities for parents, pediatric patients, and their siblings. This offers an escape from the trials of treatment and allows kids to simply be kids. Activities fall on weekday evenings from 6-7 p.m.

Volunteers are asked to plan an activity, provide all supplies needed, and host the activity for families. Currently seeking volunteers who can commit to hosting at least one activity per month for 6 months minimum.

In-kind donations keep Ronald McDonald House running. Snacks, toiletries, and cleaning supplies are always needed to welcome families home. These critical supplies are also shared with tens of thousands of families of pediatric patients at our partner hospitals each year.

Some RMHC friends pick up supplies when they’re out for weekly shopping, and others order from the Amazon list we keep current. Either way, your kindness will make a huge impact on families as they face big battles.

You may also organize a seasonal, themed (summer or year-end) wish-list drive.
