The Red Shoe Crew is a dynamic group of 100+ community leaders supporting seriously ill children in the Triangle.

Members receive networking and service opportunities while engaging community support for the Ronald McDonald House mission. Ongoing service projects include monthly pancake breakfasts and occasional dinner teams in Durham and Chapel Hill. Come for the networking; stay for the heart.

Each year, members are recognized in the Triangle Business Journal. You want to be on this list!

“Being part of this group means more to me than just sitting on a committee. You know you’re making a real difference alongside a friend, volunteer, or colleague with a big heart. It’s a special thing. The Red Shoe Crew is a place that somehow, no matter how hard I try, I end up getting more than I think I ever give. I walk away knowing I helped a family during their darkest time. It’s all about HOPE.”

Rachel Urban, First National Insurance Agency

“My involvement with the Red Shoe Crew is one of the most meaningful parts of my community life. It allows me to support families who are facing some of the hardest moments of their lives, and it continually reminds me how powerful it is when a community shows up with compassion and care. I’ll admit—receiving a pair of RMH-specific Chuck Taylors is a pretty incredible and unexpected bonus.

“Being a part of the Red Shoe Crew has been incredibly fulfilling because it has brought me closer to a cause I was already passionate about. I have both personal and professional ties to Ronald McDonald House, so I’ve seen firsthand the love and lifeline provided to families with seriously ill children. Through the Red Shoe Crew, I am able to unite with an amazing group of leaders to attend events, cook meals, work on house projects, and fundraise to make a difference in people’s lives.”

Siler Ransmeier, HH Architecture

RNHC

Red Shoe Crew members renovated the new STEM space at Ronald McDonald House of Chapel Hill. Members had fun, completed an important project for kids, and had an up-close view of the RMH mission.

Crew members also relocated and renovated our Durham family-services office that welcomes guest families when they arrive. This year, the group is planning a total re-envisioning and renovation of the playroom in Chapel Hill that welcomes pediatric patients and their siblings of all ages.

Service opportunities are part of the Red Shoe Crew experience – come walk with us!
