Engage Individually at the Durham House

RNHC

Kind hands and hearts are needed to keep Ronald McDonald House of Durham running. Read more about volunteer opportunities for individuals.

Welcome families home to RMH at the front door. Guest services volunteers provide warm smiles as families arrive to check in, and when they return from long days at the hospital.

Kind hearts and smiles are the main requirements. Because this role is so integral to our program, we ask volunteers to be available for a regular, four-hour shift each week.

Events Volunteer Form

In-kind donations keep Ronald McDonald House running. Snacks, toiletries, and cleaning supplies are always needed to welcome families home. These critical supplies are also shared with tens of thousands of families of pediatric patients at our partner hospitals each year.

Some RMHC friends pick up supplies when they’re out for weekly shopping, and others order from the Amazon list we keep current. Either way, your kindness will make a huge impact on families as they face big battles.

You may also organize a seasonal, themed (summer or year-end) wish-list drive.
