The Ronald McDonald Family Room will open in the Duke Central Tower Lobby, Floor 2, sometime in Fall 2025.
Recruiting Volunteers Now
We are currently looking for volunteers to staff the Family Room once it opens. The onboarding process for Duke Hospital can be completed this summer before the Family Room opens. Volunteers should be age 20 or older and willing to commit to volunteering for a year or longer for a weekly 3-hour shift. If you are interested, please email Shandy Woods.
What Will the Family Room Be Like?
A RMHC Family Room offers families of pediatric patients a welcoming space to take a break, recharge and refuel. Guests may enjoy free snacks and drinks, ready-to-eat meals, or simply relax in a cozy, home-like space – just steps away from their child’s bedside.
