The Ronald McDonald House Family Room offers parents and caregivers of pediatric patients a peaceful space to rest and recharge just steps from their child’s bedside. Families can enjoy free coffee, snacks, easy-to-heat meals, laundry facilities, and comfort items in a warm, home-like setting, all supported by caring Ronald McDonald House volunteers.

Family Room volunteers should be age 20 or older and willing to commit to volunteering for a year or longer for a weekly 3-hour shift. If you are interested, please email Shandy Woods. There is an additional onboarding process for Duke Hospital that must be completed before you can volunteer.
