WakeMed Children’s Hospital
Support families in the medical setting; volunteers share respite with parents and adult caregivers inside the walls of the hospital.
Located on 4E near Room #1, the Family Room offers parents and caregivers of pediatric patients a space to rest and recharge. Guests may enjoy free snacks and drinks, do the family laundry at no cost, or simply enjoy a quiet, comfortable place to reflect in a home-like setting – only steps from a sick child’s bedside.
To help maintain a regular schedule for families, volunteers are asked to commit to a regular schedule.
